Guide to Using Hankyu Railways
1. How to Purchase a Ticket
Refer to the Fare Table at your station of embarkation to determine the fare to your destination.
Insert money into a ticket vending machine.
Use the touch panel to select your fare.
The machine will issue your ticket and change.
Tickets are valid only for the day on which they have been purchased.
If you exit a station before your destination, your ticket will be void for the remainder of your journey. (The automated turnstile will retain your ticket when you exit.)

2. How to Use the Automated Turnstiles
Insert your ticket in the entry slot of an automated turnstile at your station of embarkation.
The ticket will be issued from the return slot on the other end of the turnstile.  Make sure you retain your ticket until your destination, where you will need it to exit the station.
Insert your ticket in the entry slot of an automated turnstile at your destination. (The turnstile will retain your ticket when you exit.)

The Lagare Card, a convenient pre-paid fare-deduction card, can be used instead of a ticket.  Simply insert the Lagare Card directly in the automated turnstile when you enter and exit, and your fare will automatically be deducted.  Lagare Cards are sold at all stations, from ticket windows and ticket vending machines.

3. Embarkation Guide
You may board any train with your ticket. (There are no surcharges for express trains.  Also, there is no reserved seating.)
Express trains stop at only some of the stations along the line.  The number of stops varies in accordance with the type of express train.  Local trains stop at every station.
All Hankyu trains are non-smoking only.  Please refrain from smoking inside the trains.
